There are so many advantages for businesses, so here's our list of the top six reasons on why you should install EV chargers: **1. Gain a competitive edge** Being an early adopter of EV chargers will set you apart from your competitors. It shows you’re a forward-thinking business that cares about its staff, clients and the environment.  **2. Future-proof your business** The EV market is growing rapidly, consumers are more aware than ever of the consequences of climate change, and electric vehicles are becoming a meaningful way of reducing your carbon footprint.  As the Government plans to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030, electric vehicles really are the future. Installing EV chargers will become a necessary way of providing parking in all businesses in the nearby future.  **3. Attract new customers** Electric vehicle owners searching for a particular service or business may choose yours over a competitor if they can charge at your site. Whether you’re a retail space, cinema, hotel, restaurant, workplace, hospital or school, these are all ideal places for EV chargers as it allows a captive audience to multitask during the charge time.**4. Create brand awareness**Once you’ve installed EV chargers at your business, you’ll be included on apps and websites like Zap-Map, that help drivers to locate EV chargers across the UK. Even if they decide not to use your facilities at that exact time, they’ll be aware of you from the search and may visit you in the future.**5. Generate revenue**After the initial outlay of costs when installing your EV chargers, you can set a clear return on your investment and earn extra revenue by setting fees for EV drivers using your chargers. There are many factors to consider when setting prices, like your location; the type of chargers you have installed (7kw or 22kw); how many chargers you have installed; and, most importantly, your competition - what others charge in the local area. See our [blog post](https://devitech.co.uk/blogs-and-guides/why-aftercare-should-be-considered-an-integral-part-of-ev-charger-installations-0) on pricing models and considerations for more help. **6. Benefit staff and clients**More and more EV drivers are expecting to charge at work, and for a good reason: EVs are becoming more popular, and workers see workplace charging as a sustainability credential and benefit from their employer. Workplace EV charging tells potential and current employees that you care about their needs.  EV charging also enhances your brand image as it shows customers and employees how modern and sustainable your workspace is.
