Compared to 2024, that’s a 3.4% increase, and with that rise, it means more demand for EV charge points. ![](https://devitech.co.uk/hubfs/0C0A278F-B074-4B9E-AB97-CC2D054167D1%20Devitech%20EV%20Solutions.jpeg) We’ve shared a guide on how to future-proof your business with EV chargers in 2026.      ## How to future-proof your business with EV chargers in 2026 Installing EV infrastructure is the first step to future-proofing your business. This varies for every business, depending on capacity size, number of chargers and budget. You may already have existing infrastructure or be starting from scratch; whatever the scenario, our team can provide the relevant support. We’ll initially perform a site assessment to review your options, including the types of EV chargers, capacity size, power output, any existing infrastructure and your budget. We’ll also explain the importance of aftercare and maintenance of chargers after installation, ensuring your chargers work optimally. After the assessment, we can install the chargers, which can take between 4-14 weeks, depending on the number of chargers, charger type and power output. AC chargers generally have a faster lead time than DC chargers; however, every site is different.  Once installation is complete, maintenance and aftercare are essential. We offer charger management packages that include back-office management support, regular maintenance check-ups and servicing, monthly reports and callouts when any issue arises.  We recommend upgrading chargers through our regular servicing and annual inspections, such as replacing certain parts, addressing issues, or enhancing the overall infrastructure at your site.  ### What are the benefits of installing EV infrastructure at your business?  With an increase in EV drivers, the demand for charging points is vital for drivers to charge their car on the go, whilst at work or visiting an establishment, such as an office block, hotel, or shopping centre. Installing [EV infrastructure](https://devitech.co.uk/blogs-and-guides/ev-infrastructure-anxiety-and-how-you-can-make-it-solid-for-the-winter) at your business is beneficial to your employees and any visitors. It provides regular visitors with a place to charge their car and the assurance of a charged vehicle when they leave. EV infrastructure can also provide an additional revenue stream for your business as you charge users for sessions, whether that’s pay-as-you-go pricing, loyalty pricing for regular customers or a monthly set fee.  Other benefits include putting your business on the map as a charging destination, increasing new customers, optimising parking spaces, creating a sustainable brand image and being one step ahead of the game in future-proofing your business.  You’ll stand out as a place that offers EV charging services, supporting the growing EV market and encouraging customer loyalty.  Future-proof your business today.
