We’ve shared a guide on the three steps to a greener 2026 for your business, how we can help and the funding you can claim to support these goals.
How to make your business greener in 2026
Invest in EV infrastructure for your business’s car park
EV drivers are increasing year-on-year, with new car owners opting for electric vehicles over petrol or diesel alternatives. The increase in EVs means the demand for more public and private spaces, including businesses, to install EV infrastructure and ensure they can support EV drivers with charging needs.
Investing in EV infrastructure helps future-proof your business, supports EV drivers and creates a revenue stream through visitors and employees paying to charge in your car park.
EV infrastructure varies for every business, depending on your capacity size, budget and number of chargers. Our EV specialists can perform a site assessment to review all options, including types of EV chargers, prices, and the importance of aftercare and maintenance for chargers. We’ll also analyse the site infrastructure, including the size, power output and whether you have any existing chargers.
You may be new to EV chargers or looking to expand your infrastructure, which is where our support team can help you. We can identify the infrastructure plan of action, install the chargers and help with maintenance and aftercare, ensuring your chargers and back office system perform optimally. As we manage many of the chargers we install, we can also monitor any potential problems and fix them promptly.
Reduce water consumption across your site
Many businesses waste water without realising it through inefficient water systems, such as leaks and blockages.
The biggest contributors to businesses’ water waste include leaky taps, toilets and urinals. Installing eco-friendly versions of equipment, such as sensor taps and ultra-low flow toilets, can significantly reduce water consumption and waste, taking a step towards becoming greener.
The first step in reducing water consumption is a water audit to assess how your business consumes and wastes water, identifying opportunities to reduce inefficiencies. SaveMoneyCutCarbon’s water efficiency team can visit your site, conduct an assessment and provide a detailed report with recommended upgrades, estimated savings and payback projections.
Other support includes waste management, recycling and ongoing maintenance, ensuring the efficient water solutions are working effectively.
Invest in solar solutions
Similarly to water, many businesses ineffectively use and waste energy and electricity. Investing in solar PV reduces your business’s electricity demand from the grid, reducing carbon emissions and saving money.
The sun produces 8000 times more energy than we consume globally every year. Utilising its energy is a free and green option for your business. SaveMoneyCutCarbon can support your business with various solar solutions, including roof and ground mount systems, thermal and hybrid systems.
Solar solutions can include maximum energy generation (from SaveMoneyCutCarbon) as they only use tier 1 manufactured panels and optimised inverter systems. With installation comes maintenance, and you can receive free performance and tracking included to monitor the panels to identify inefficiencies in your system.
Funding options for greener solutions
