State-funded education institutions, such as schools and universities, can apply for the Workplace Charging Scheme to help them cover the costs of purchasing and installing EV infrastructure. This scheme aims to encourage education sites to install electric charge points and make EVs more accessible for schools.
This grant can cover up to 75% of the costs of buying and installing EV chargers (up to £2,500 per socket and 40 sockets across all sites) for education institutions and state-funded schools. Academy trusts can also apply for up to 40 sockets for each institution within that trust.
If successful, you’ll receive a voucher valid until the deadline date to complete the EV charger installation.

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) can apply for the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Grant for staff and fleets, which offers money off electric vehicle (EV) installation costs and supports the infrastructure of their staff and fleet vehicles.
This grant helps cover the costs of installing multiplier charge point sockets across your site, either now or in the future. You can receive 75% of the work cost for a maximum of £15,000, including up to £350 per charge point and £500 per parking space, to support the infrastructure. Every SME can receive up to 5 grants across 5 different sites.
SMEs are eligible for the grant if you’re a business with 249 employees or fewer, registered at Companies House or VAT registered with HMRC, and the property is in the UK.
The deadline date is 31st March 2026. Apply for the grant and learn more about the EV infrastructure grant.
Reminder: the time is now to take advantage of these grants before they end, and save costs towards EV infrastructure installation.
